Graphite Crucibles

Graphite OSCh 7-3 has the following physical properties (averaged): 

• specific gravity — 1.7 g/cm3; 
• maximum porosity of the structure — 23%; 
• compressive strength — 35 MPa; 
• tensile strength — 8.9 MPa; 
• bending strength — 16.7 MPa; 
• elastic modulus — 6700 n/nm2; 
• thermal conductivity coefficient — 130 W/m°K; 
• the maximum permissible length of workpieces is 1500 mm.

Graphite OSCh 7-3 must correspond to the following chemical composition:

• pure carbon — no less than 99,97%;
• dry ash residue — no more than 0,03%;
• silicon — no more than 0,0005%;
• iron — no more than 0,00003%;
• magnesium — no more than 0,00003%;
• aluminum — no more than 0,00003%;
• boron — no more than 0,00001%;
• copper — no more than 0,00001%;
• manganese — no more than 0,00001%.

The presence of other impurities or chemical elements, as well as moisture, in the composition of high-purity graphite is not allowed.
